I haven’t been around much which is how I deal with the Democratic Destruction Derby during the presidential primary.
Truthfully, even our WORSE candidate is going to be 1,000 times better then tRump and the harm he has done our nation and the world.
Our courts are being packed with young, unqualified, white male conservatives who will serve for decades. Our SCOTUS has been handed to the conservatives who with a ONE vote majority will decide cases that we will have to live with for decades. Our world is melting and little is being done by this administration to address climate change. Our economy is only working for those at the very top, we have not seen anything this bad since the Gilded Age or the Great Depression. And on and on. LGBTQ rights are attacked everyday, the rights of women, minorities all under attack.
This administration is locking children in cages. In our name.
This administration will actively work to take away health care if they get four more years.
I like a robust debate on candidates, what concerns me is that we sometimes go so hard on our candidates that we do the work of the GOP and Russian Trolls. They read DailyKos, they look for the issues that are dividing us, and they are saving them for the general when they will use it as they did against Hillary, we all saw how that was used. It is used to depress turnout, to make people feel as if there isn’t a “real” choice because both candidates are the same. And it worked. And it will work again.
But it can’t work if we don’t allow ourselves to be divided at the end. It can’t work if we remember that what ever issues we raise now about one of our candidates won’t stop us from getting them elected. Again, even our WORSE candidate will do almost ALL of what we believe in, they will protect health care, the environment, LGBTQ, our foreign policy and so much more. We disagreed with Obama on issues (I know I did) but realize what we are missing with him gone.
We need every single person to turn out in 2020, we need to energize people, to get them excited about all of our candidates, because if we don’t we will see four more of tRump in 2020.
I will vote for Bernie if he is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help him win.
I will vote for Kamala if she is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help her win.
I will vote for Cory he is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help him win.
I will vote for Pete if he is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help him win.
I will vote for Elizabeth if she is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help her win.
I will vote for Joe if he is the candidate, I will GOTV, will do all I can to help him win.
I will vote for OUR DEMOCRATIC Candidate and will do all I can to help them win.
I hope that we can all show energy and commitment to whoever ends up being our nominee. No one person is perfect (not even me, go figure), and yes, ALL of our candidates have flaws of some sort. But none of them are as evil, deranged, corrupted, narcissistic or delusional as tRump.
